We have reason to celebrate :

For four years now the connoisseur of fine
vintages can enjoy Bavarian Single Malt Whisky
and Slyrs Liqueur in our distillery.
The Slyrs Distillery in Schliersee/Neuhaus offers
an experience for the visitors and their senses.
 
You hear the crushing in the distillery and you
feel the malt. You can smell the „angels share“
and see the Barrique Barrels in our storage hall.
And - as a highlight - you can taste the whisky
and the liqueur in our tasting area.

Cocktails made of Slyrs Whisky created by Pino Trisolino. Pino Trisolino, who is Chief Barman of the Maritim Hotel in Munich created some Cocktails with our Slyrs Whisky for you to taste.

BAVARIAN BREEZE:
Glass: Whisky Tumbler
Ingredients:
· 3cl SLYRS WHISKY Liqueur
· 4cl Clear Apple Juice
· 4cl Ginger Ale

How to mix:
Put all the ingredients in a tumbler with ice cubes and stir well. Decorate with a piece of apple.

ALPS HIGHBALL:

Glass: Longdrink glass
Ingredients:
-5cl SLYRS Whisky Liqueur
-1cl fresh lime juice
-2 splashes Angostura
-Ginger Beer

How to mix:
Put the zest of a lime into a longdrink glass and fill it with ice cubes. Add SLYRS Whisky, Liqueur, Lime Juice and Angostura and fill it up with cold Ginger Beer.


FREE STATE:

Glass: Whisky Tumbler
Ingredients:
- fresh rosemary
- 4cl SLYRS Whisky Liqueur
- 1cl Rose‘s Lime Juice Cordial
- cold Sprite

How to mix:
Put rosemary in the tumbler and crush it with a pestle. Add ice, SLYRS Whisky Liqueur and Rose‘s Lime Juice and stir well. Fill up with cold Sprite and decorate with rosemary.

The Story: Sometimes something really special happens when friends come together. And so it went in Autumn 2007. The three befriended companies Deibel Consultants, SLYRS Distillery and Irish Lifestyle met for a glass of Whisky in Schliersee and suddenly an idea was born. RARITAS DIABOLI.

Sometimes the saying „Too many cooks spoil the broth“ is not always true and that‘s when everybody involved is the best at what they do. This is, Jürgen Deibels experience and knowledge of the world of whisky and spirits, SLYRS for production of extraordinary whisky and Irish Lifestyle for sales and marketing - So something very special can truly be created. „The total is greater than the sum of its parts“


Now the way was paved and work could start. Jürgen Deibel brought many interesting whisky samples of all the different distilleries which he had collected on his journeys through the world of spirits. Slyrs distillery started to experiment using all its experience and knowledge by blending together different whiskies with various vintages and mixing ratios. The result they proudly presented was: RARITAS DIABOLI which was born and considered a success.


Your palate will confirm this ! The exact combination of Whiskies, distilleries, vintages and blending remains a closely guarded secret. Only SLYRS, Deibel Consultants and Irish Lifestyle know the recipe. RARITAS DIABOLI will only be available from specialised traders, the SLYRS shop in Schliersee (very limited) and with Irish Lifestyle. (66€)

Frau Andrea Stetter (Geschäftsführerin
LANTENHAMMER und SLYRS Destillerie)

Andrea Stetter, Managing Director LANTENHAMMER and SLYRS. After almost 20 years in the LANTENHAMMER company Andrea Stetter now works actively in the management of both distilleries.

Mrs. Stetter has been working for LANTENHAMMER since 1990. Her responsibilities have been financial control and order processing. After her two daughters were born and short maternal leave, she became the owner of the LANTENHAMMER shop in Schliersee.


In 2005 another property was aquired in Hausham and the company relocated their headquarters there, during this period Andrea Stetter has been responsible for financial control and human resources. After the opening of the SLYRS distillery in Schliersee/Neuhaus it showed that the management was in need of further support from Mrs. Stetter.


Firstly in a supporting role, and now, since 2009, officially as Managing Director. Mrs. Stetter meanwhile manages 35 employees. In 2008 they reached a turnover of almost 6 Million Euros The big advantage of managing both of the distilleries is being able to combine the core competences she gained over the two decades with LANTENHAMMER.


Mrs. Stetter can now transfer this experience to the SLYRS distillery. Thanks to the commitment and support of the senior chiefs Anneliese and Siegfried Stetter, Andrea Stetter can manage the difficult task of combining family and job.

To connect generations sometimes seems impossible but for the Stetter family has been a successful strategy that has proved an advantage for the LANTENHAMMER and SLYRS distilleries. So it is possibly for Andrea Stetter, together with her husband Florian, to guide the two distilleries into the future.

Here comes Malzi !

We found our mascot, the ibex. You can buy our little „Malzi“ in the shopping area of SLYRS.

„Malzi“ is handmade from the EBO company and therefore every little ibex looks slightly different. Each is about 30 cm high. As a German product it fulfils the European regulations and it is free of dyestuff.

SLYRS goes to Scotland !

With great enjoyment we saw that the SLYRS whisky is drunk in the land of our paragons. Our friend, Claudius Elsenberger of Irish Lifestyle in Erding/Munich send us this photograph.

 


Mr. Elsenberger took it on the 17th August 2008. It shows Mr. Jon Beach, the owner of the „Fiddler‘s pub“ (Whisky bar of the year 2007) in Drumnadrochit in Loch Ness holding a bottle of SLYRS in his hand. When Mr. Beach got to know that Mr. Elsenberger is from Bavaria he very happily offered him SLYRS Whisky!

Our visitors are amazed to find „Bayrische Guadl“ in the shelves of the SLYRS distillery. Only created as a supplement they are now the highlight of the shop! The savourer can expect the fine taste of caramel with the slight touch of whisky.....and there is no limitation.

CULT(URE) TRIPS AT LAKE SCHLIERSEE

You can look at it how you want but Schliersee offers a lot of culture and also cult ! Thats what the owners of these beautiful Harley Davidson machines thought, why not connect both.... Our SLYRS Whisky will take some time to reach the cult status of a Harley Davidson but it is time that brings our Whisky to perfection. We liked the sight of those machines in front of the distillery at least as much as the bikers liked our whisky!
