According to law whisky has to be stored for at least three years. This year a controlled quantity will be released into the market. Therefore the vintages are strictly limited. The whisky gets its colour from the wooden barrels in which it is stored. Florian Stetter reveals that only new barrels made of American white oak are used in production and that each one contains about 225 l.
He doesn‘t like to describe the smell and taste or compare it. He says: „You have to really try it“. We don‘t want to copy the scottish Malt or Bourbon. We want to be special, we want to be Bavarian. And you can taste that with SLYRS - that‘s the name of the product.
